The Tollemache Arms to launch kickstarter
The Tollemache Arms is currently the East Midlands Pub & Bar of the Year.
An award-winning local is preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a refurbishment.
The Tollemache Arms, better known to locals as The Tolly, is currently the East Midlands Pub & Bar of the Year, with licensees Joe Buckley and Flo Pearce also picking up the BII’s Licensee of the Year award in 2023.
Now, after 10 years of operations, Buckley and Pearce are turning to their guests to help raise £30,000 in 30 days so they can upgrade the site in every area.
"This one-of-a-kind pub is in need of a refurbishment," says Buckley. "Unfortunately, the rising cost of living has made it impossible for us to tackle this challenge alone. We need support to breathe new life into this historic gem, ensuring it remains a vibrant hub for good times, great food and lasting memories.
"By contributing to our crowdfunding campaign, you'll be helping to preserve a place where memories are made, friendships are forged, and laughter echoes through the walls. Every pledge, no matter how small, will make a difference in revitalizing our beautiful pub."
Crowd funding will be starting on Friday 29 March at 7pm. Those who would like to support the effort can do so via The Tolly's Kickstarter page.
