Pubs take flight with World Darts Championships

Nearly 500,000 people made their way to a venue to watch the action.

Close to half a million viewers (472,000) watched the recent final of the PDC World Darts Championships in an out-of-home venue, it has been revealed.

This figure represents the highest viewing for darts in pubs and clubs in well over a decade, eclipsing the quarter finals as the most viewed day of the 2024 Championships, which saw 410,000 watching out-of-home.

"December through to January has seen darts fever sweeping the nation, and we were thrilled that so many people were able to enjoy watching this major event in our customer’s venues," says James Tweddle, director of hospitality for Sky Business.

The Premier League gets underway on 1 February in Cardiff, with each event live on Sky Sports.
