Young's acquires Devon freehold

Young’s has acquired the freehold of waterside pub The Ship Inn in Noss Mayo, south west Devon. 

Having been run by the Bullock family for 16 years, The Ship Inn is a landmark Devon pub, located on the Yealm Estuary in the village of Noss Mayo, close to Salcombe.

Located on the edge of the bay, the pub comprises a ground-floor 160-cover pub and dining room with exposed timbers, open fires and nautical memorabilia.

It also comes with its own private pier, a garden and a waterfront terrace accommodating a further 200 covers, as well as The Glasshouse, a 20-cover private dining room on the water’s edge with its own terrace.

Set within an affluent area and popular with locals and visitors to Devon alike, The Ship Inn will be Young’s fifth site in Devon, with sister pubs Boathouse and The Seagate, located in north Devon, The Grove in Exmouth, and The City Gate and Double Locks in Exeter. 

The Ship Inn is the latest freehold acquisition for Young's, joining several other purhcases this year.
