The Chequers in Woolmer Green and The Old School House in Stony Stratford have reopened their doors, after two extensive refurbishments from Wells & Co.
Completed works at The Chequers include a refreshed bar and dining area. The new interior boasts a lounge area and a large dining space. An extensive garden makeover has added heated areas and high table fire pits.
Upstairs there are now four en-suite bedrooms, as well as a private dining room holding up to 20 people. The site will be overseen by general manager Greg Knox.
The Old School House, formerly known as The Plough, has also been given a new look.
“We can’t wait to welcome back locals to their much-loved pub," says Emily Ellwood, general manager of the pub. "We’re the pub for all occasions, boasting a fantastic new menu and extensive drinks range including our very own, one of a kind, dedicated cocktail bar. We can’t wait to see you all soon.”
