Roxy Leisure to make London debut
Roxy Ball Room, London, will open next year opposite the Gherkin.
Roxy Leisure has announced it will be bringing its multi-format competitive socialising concept to the UK capital next year.
Roxy Ball Room, London, will be located at St Mary Axe, opposite the Gherkin, and will feature the brand’s array of signature activities including tech darts, basketball, beer pong, duck pin bowling, ping pong, shooting pods, pool, tech shuffle, karaoke, ice-free curling and crazy pool.
"We’re made up to announce we will be bringing our signature ‘booze and ball games’ concept to the capital for the first time next year after spending the last decade cementing our name across the hospitality scene in the north," says Joel Mitchell, Roxy Leisure’s marketing director. "We understand that opening a venue in the capital is a whole new ball game, which is why we’ve spent a great deal of time researching and sourcing the right site for the Roxy Ball Room brand. We’ll be sharing more details about the site and launch date in the coming months, so watch this space."
Professionals at Play
In August 2024, Roxy Leisure Holdings announced a name change to Professionals at Play, creating a group brand for the competitive socialising operations Roxy Leisure and Pins Leisure. The rebrand to Professionals at Play coincided with a management restructure, with new chief operating officer Colin Sadler appointed to take the group forward.
Founded by brothers Matt and Ben Jones, Roxy Leisure opened its first Roxy Ball Room on Leeds’ Boar Lane in December 2013. Since then, the group has continued to expand with 11 Roxy Ball Room and eight Roxy Lanes sites across the estate.
