NWTC ops director joins Roxy Leisure
Leane King arrives at Roxy Leisure after more than 11 years at New World Trading Company.
The former head of operations at the New World Trading Company is joining Roxy Leisure as its new operations director.
Leane King arrives at Roxy Leisure after more than 11 years at New World, supporting its growth from two to over 30 sites nationwide. The move follows a CVA and restructure of the New World business that saw key members of the team depart.
King joined the New World Trading Company as a general manager in 2013, before taking on the roles of senior operations manager and regional manager, and then being appointed as head of operations in 2022, and regional operations director in 2023.
"I am thrilled to be joining Roxy Leisure," she says. "I’ve been a huge fan of the brand for many years now and have admired the team’s ambitious nature and passion for creating a great company culture. Entering the competitive socialising environment provides a new sector full of huge opportunities for me personally, and I’m looking forward to supporting Roxy with its exciting expansion plans."
Professionals at Play
In August, Roxy Leisure Holdings announced a name change to Professionals at Play, creating a group brand for its competitive socialising concepts Roxy Leisure and Pins Leisure.
The rebrand to Professionals at Play also featured a management restructure, with new COO Colin Sadler appointed to take the group forward.
"We are delighted that Leane has joined the Roxy team," says Sadler. "She has great experience from New World Trading Company and a detailed knowledge of working in busy high street bars. It’s an exciting time for Roxy as we look to cement our position as one of the country’s leading competitive socialising businesses and we are confident that Leane’s appointment will help us achieve this goal."
