Clays takes a shot at Birmingham

Virtual shooting brand Clays has opened its doors in Birmingham.

Birmingham has welcomed another experiential hospitality concept, as virtual shooting brand Clays opens its doors in the city.

Housed in Piccadilly Arcade, Clays combines state-of-the-art virtual shooting technology alongside its food and drink offer. The Birmingham venue is the third for the Clays Group, joining its two London sites in the City and Canary Wharf.

New and exclusive to the Birmingham venue, guests can experience the Clays Arcade, a fast-paced gaming concept with five quick-fire shooting games designed for smaller groups of up to five people.

"We’re thrilled to bring Clays to Birmingham, a city renowned for its appreciation of exceptional hospitality and unique experiences," says Tom Snellock, founder and CEO of Clays. "The launch of Clays Arcade further underscores our commitment to innovation, while ensuring a reliable, safe and enjoyable experience for all of our guests. With our thoughtfully crafted food and drink menus, we’ve created a space where people can relax, compete and celebrate."

How does the concept work?

Through its virtual target shooting concept, game play takes place in a British shooting ground, recreating a virtual representation of clay pigeon shooting.

Spanning three floors, the Birmingham venue can host up to 500 guests. It features two large bars and resident DJs every weekend.

The menu at Clays Birmingham, developed by culinary director Roger Olsson, is centred around sustainability and ethically sourced British produce. Highlights include the Clays vegetarian sharing platter with KFC (Korean Fried Cauliflower), seasonal vegetable pastry roll, sweetcorn ribs, loaded English crisps and green olives.
